Global Rush Nigeria Limited intends to use a multi-faceted approach in tackling the persistent problems existing within the FCT. The approach will comprise of the following:
Provision of suitable waste receptacles at strategic locations within the FCT is the first approach to a cleaning and waste free environment.
Receptacles to be provided will differ in sizes and make for effective waste collection.
The use of proper street sweeping and refuse disposal equipment is the second approach to be deployed. The equipment will include refuse disposal vehicles and street sweeping equipment.
Global Rush Nigeria Limited will deploy modern waste management equipment and capitalize on previous experiences to run an efficient service in the FCT.
The need to reach all areas of the metropolis, most especially street sweeping and litter collection service cannot be overemphasized Global Rush Nigeria Limited will again rely on previous experience to achieve this objective.
The approach in ensuring all parts of the metropolis are reached is extremely vital as a dirty street qualifies a dirty city, despite all efforts in cleaning highbrow and major streets of a city.
Personnel for street sweeping will be assigned to their Local Communities; most times to the streets their own dwellings are located. The involvement of Community Chiefs and Leaders and effective publicity will also be deployed for optimum reach and efficiency.
An integrated Waste Facility will be developed once the above factors have been established. Potential areas include compost, biomass, biogas and recycling technology.
